I just wanted to let everyone know how Aron's doing - I know people check this blog daily. This past weekend we saw improvement in the time it took Aron to respond to a command ("move your thumb", "raise your arm"). He also had a lot of open eye moments. The open eye moments don't necessarily correspond with the command following moments - it seems like right now one thing is about all he can handle at a time.
Last night, we think he responded to a question with eye blinking. A therapist was working with Aron, and he had his eyes open. The therapist said, "blink if you hear your mom" and Aron blinked in rapid succession. We are hoping and praying that this was a response, and that we will see more of this type of behavior.
Please continue to pray for my brother - we feel he is making progress, and he needs to continue along this path. We remain hopeful and positive. We just need to keep reminding ourselves to be patient.
We continue to pray every day for Aron and all his family. May Aron continue to gain strength and keep improving day by day. We look forward his visits at the shop again!

Just made my day, this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm encouraged by this and am standing with you guys in faith for complete healing. I know that waiting patiently is a very difficult thing to do. It's encouraging to see signs. We will trust the Lord and continue to ask for healing and patience as we trust Him!

ReplyDeleteAron's shown his strength and determination through these crucial gains he has made. Anyone who knows Aron knows he puts everything he's got into every challenge he faces, and he is reminding us of that. You're an inspiration Aron. Love you.

ReplyDeleteI feel so compelled to make a comment... I have never met Aron but I am friends with Dan Bradford and he shares this blog on his facebook at least once a week. Every time he posts a link, I read what the latest update is. I am so awe inspired by the happenings here. I just wanted to offer a little bit of encouragement to the family and friends of Aron. I know it may seem like a long road and perhaps even a rocky one at times. I by no means am living through the pain you are but just from reading these updates I have faith that Aron will pull through. Every time I read, I read about advancement, healing and improvement in his condition. Keep the faith and know that you have LOTS of people praying for Aron and his family and friends.
ReplyDeleteAwesome job big guy!! You got this!! =)

I wanted to share a song that has been my prayer for Aron since his accident. It is "God Moves in a Mysterious Way" by Jeremy Riddle. The chorus repeats the words "blessings on your head." Take a listen and pray along. The lyrics are below.
ReplyDeleteGod moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm
Deep in unsearchable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sovereign will
Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take
The clouds you so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings, in blessings
In blessings on your head
Judge not the Lord by feeble sense
But trust Him for His grace
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face
His purposes will ripen fast
Unfolding every hour
The bud may have a bitter taste
But sweet will be the flower
Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain
God is His own interpreter
And He will make it plain
In His own time
In His own way...
My wife, church and myself continue to pray for you Aron. We ask that God's healing hand continues to to work on you and we pray for your family and friends. Mark Nolen from GMS.
